Is GTA 6 Coming to PC? Official Release Information
PC gamers have been waiting for official confirmation of a GTA 6 PC release. Here's everything known about when and if Rockstar Games will bring GTA 6 to PC platforms.
Official PC Release Status
Rockstar Games has not announced an official PC release date for GTA 6. The developer has confirmed that GTA 6 will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2025. Any PC release remains unconfirmed at this time.
The lack of a confirmed PC release does not necessarily mean GTA 6 will never come to PC. Rather, Rockstar is following its historical pattern of releasing console versions first, then considering other platforms after the console launch window.

Historical PC Release Patterns
Rockstar has consistently released Grand Theft Auto titles on PC after initial console launches:
- GTA V — Released on PS3/Xbox 360 in 2013, PC version in 2015 (18 months later)
- GTA Online — Console launch 2013, PC launch 2015
- Red Dead Redemption 2 — Console 2018, PC 2019 (12 months later)
Based on this historical precedent, if Rockstar follows the same pattern, a PC release could be expected sometime in 2026 or 2027, but this remains speculation without official confirmation.

Why Console First?
Rockstar has emphasized a console-first strategy for GTA 6. This approach allows the developer to:
- Optimize the game specifically for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S hardware
- Avoid fragmented launch experiences across multiple platforms
- Focus server resources on console multiplayer infrastructure first
- Allow time for post-launch optimization before expanding to PC
This console-exclusive launch period is standard for AAA titles published by Rockstar.

Estimated PC Requirements (Speculative)
While Rockstar has not released official PC system requirements, based on the console specifications and Rockstar's historical PC ports, estimated requirements may include:
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- Processor: High-end multi-core CPU equivalent to or exceeding console performance
- RAM: 16GB or higher
- Storage: 150–200GB SSD space (estimated)
- GPU: Modern graphics card equivalent to RTX 3080 or better
Note: These are educated estimates based on GTA V PC requirements. Actual requirements will only be confirmed if and when Rockstar announces an official PC release.
